Sima Bina in Concert #2 - Amesterdom 2000

 

In 1999 I was invited to perform in a series of concerts and festivals in Europe and America. I decided to invite a number of talented Iranian women musicians to accompany me in presenting an assortment of my Khorasan folk songs and music. Having these young women musicians performing on an international music arena with me, and continually receiving positive feedback, was of national pride to all of us.

Our first concert was staged in the renowned WDR World Music Festival in Bonn, Germany. At this festival, where many celebrated artists were presenting their native music, our group of all women performers proved to be particularly fascinating and special.

We continued to perform in several other festivals in Europe and North America throughout the year 2000. Every performance was welcomed and very much appreciated by both the Iranian and the local audience
