Description:
An affecting drama from Rafi Pitts (It’s Winter, The Hunter) that tells the story of Sanam, a woman who is left widowed when her husband is shot dead after being accused of stealing a horse. While she sets out to try and prove her husband’s innocence through the archaic and unresponsive Iranian legal system, her son, initially fuelled by thoughts of revenge, sets out in search of the horse his father is said to have stolen and stumbles upon what appears to be his true calling along the way. Meanwhile, Sanam, left to work the family farm alone, has to ponder the idea of marrying a man who could readily support her family, even though she knows she does not love him.
