Australian documentary filmmaker David Vee spent 2 ½ years living in the Islamic Republic of Iran.
If there was one country, where the word dichotomy had to be used, it would be Iran. Paradoxically religion is everywhere, yet nowhere. The ancient and the modern live and play side by side. One day they are genuinely celebrating a religious martyr that died 1,400 years ago,  next they are drinking and partying hard to a DJ with state-of-the-art lights and sound system.
